Market Data Services Limited to Increase European Presence

WestLB go Global with MDSL’s MDS2000 ASP system

MDSL has reached agreement with WestLB to deploy a global Market Data Manager (MDM) inventory management solution using MDSL’s ASP delivered service.

WestLB have been users of MDM in New York and Asia for some time, but had deployed BST’s FinOffice throughout the rest of its organisation. The new MDM solution will be used globally and will replace FinOffice.

Carl Jones Head of European Sales for MDSL said: "We are delighted to be working even more closely with WestLB. Their global market data team carried out a thorough and very professional evaluation of the two systems they were using, and have decided to standardise on an MDM solution. Our proven ASP service will enable a truly global solution to be rolled out quickly and efficiently.

"We have many customer installations in Europe already, but most of these were the result of sales made in the UK or the US. We are now focusing on continental Europe more directly, and the agreement with WestLB is one of the first examples of our concentration in this area. We are confident there will be many more. We have been so busy in the UK and US markets in the past that we have not focused on Europe enough, this has resulted in local inventory management providers being virtually unopposed, but we hope to change that!"
