World leading Oil & Gas company has selected MDSL to manage its global telecom spend

MDSL has been selected to control telecom cost worldwide over 80 countries and 5 continents.

Paris - London - New York - Tokyo - September, 2007. MDSL, the leading provider of Telecommunicationsexpense management (TEM), today announced that one of the worlds largest Oil & Gas companies has selected MDSL's TEM tool and services to help manage global telecom services over 300,000 employees. The three-year contract follows the company's successful completion of a pilot in Europe and US.

Initially the company selected MDSL's powerful software tool over the competition and have been successfully deploying the tools in-house, however, in June this year they upgraded to a fully managed service, still retaining the many benefits of the software tool but reaping the rewards of the value added managed services.

The project has developed quickly, "The software tool itself is already showing significant costs savings across our organization. It became clear at an early stage that the level of service and support MDSL provided was of the highest level, leading us to employ their fully managed service offering much quicker than was first anticipated", said a the Group Procurement manager.

MDSL past experience of dealing with large international companies has greatly helped in rapidly deploying a TEM solution over multiple countries. "Integrating and managing telecom cost across exploration, upstream, downstream and supporting business units is a complex process, having the experience and understanding of this has been a major factor of our success to date. As we would like to share our experience and success, MDSL have configured a packaged TEM solution for the Oil & Gas industry which will speed up any future TEM benefits for this market" said Philippe Lignac, EMEA sales director.
