The MDSL executive management team is made up of seasoned individuals who are committed to establishing MDSL as a world-class company delivering enterprise financial expense management as an online service.

Ben Mendoza
CEO, MDSL
Ben founded MDSL in 1995 with a vision to provide financial trading organisations with tools to drastically improve the management of their market data services costs - down to individual user level. MDSL’s solution quickly became the de facto standard and today the company remains the world leader in market data cost management with the MDM software system.
Ben's technology career began in 1974 and has included telecommunications engineering with British Telecom, applied electronics design with Marconi Space and Defence Systems, data network design with Timeplex Ltd, and north sea oil platform systems implementations with Marathon Oil UK Ltd.
Ben founded his first company in 1984. Digital Networks International Limited (DNI) was an independent IT consultancy firm providing network design and implementation services to customers such as Lehman Brothers, BAII and The Target Group. In 1987 Ben turned his hand to software, creating a Help Desk system called HDE. HDE customers included British Telecom, BP Oil, Barclays Bank, Robert Fleming & Co. and Levi Strauss & Co.
Ben is married with four children and enjoys music (guest guitarist appearances with the MDSL house band), cinema, golf and travelling.

David Toomey-Wilson
President MDSL USA and Global Head of Sales
David joined MDSL in 1995 to launch, the now very successful, US operation to serve the major financial services market in New York and North America. He also directs sales and marketing policies worldwide.
David brings 31 years of experience in technology sales and executive management to his role at MDSL. Previously he served in a variety of globally focused executive roles at Emulex, and Sintrom. In these roles, David established a network of partners in Europe and the USA to promote technology sales.
Before joining MDSL David met Ben at DNI, where he was Sales Director and led DNI to record sales to many fortune 500 companies.

Simon Bone
Director of Customer Services, MDSL
Simon is director of global support for MDSL. Simon joined MDSL in 2000 and has 25 years experience in information technology, including senior positions at large European investment banks (Barclays and Swiss Bank) and at Micrognosis a US based trading systems integrator, where he specialised in operational support management for the European region.
Simon has extensive experience in the market data management business, specialising in analysis and market data cost containment, and has an exceptional technical understanding of market data delivery technologies.

Lesley Mendoza
Director and Chief Administration Officer, MDSL
Lesley has an extensive financial background and has worked for several large banks and brokers in the City of London ending up as Head of Settlements for an American Broker. Lesley left the City to start a family and study for her MBA, returning to full time employment as a Director of DNI and later as a founding Director of MDSL.
Lesley enjoys Opera, reading and travelling to exotic locations.
